I. Love. Cookie Dough. I could eat an entire batch of raw dough. Well, pre-THM I would. Not anymore. But I do still crave that flavor from time to time. So, I decided to try to make a shake that had those same comforting flavors. I tried several versions of this shake before I finally ended up with a flavor that I felt really did taste as close to cookie dough as a shake could get. I also wanted to keep this an FP drink so I could enjoy it anytime of the day. I am happy with the results and I think you will too!
Start by adding 1/2 cup low fat or fat free cottage cheese to your blender along with 1/2 cup almond milk.
Next, add your sweetener of choice. I found that I liked 2 doonks of THM stevia plus 2 tsp truvia. I like a really sweet drink, but feel free to adjust the sweetness if you don’t like it as sweet.
Then add 1 tsp vanilla, 1/8 tsp butter extract, and 1/4 tsp molasses.
Toss in 1 oz. of dark chocolate. I use the dark chocolate chunks, but you can use a bar of chocolate as well.
Lastly, add ice. I like a medium-thick shake. Not too thin, not too thick. Adjust to your liking though. I use about 1 or 1-1/2 cups of ice.
Blend until smooth and pour into a glass. It tastes even better when you put it in a pretty glass! I promise! He he!
Cookie Dough Shake {THM-FP}
- 1/2 cup low fat or fat free cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 doonks THM stevia
- 2 tsp Truvia
- 1 oz. dark chocolate
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp butter extract
- 1/4 tsp molasses
- dash salt
- 1-2 cups ice
Put all ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

Pinned! Will try this one soon! KitchenAid Diamond Vortex Blender, is that your blender? I have the same one. It’s struggles to crush ice or I can not overload with ice. Or it struggles once I use whey protien or glucci. Any problems with your blender? Tricks? Thanks, Annie

Sorry I’m just now replying to your comment! I do have a KA blender…but I’m not sure of the type. Mine does great with ice and I’ve not noticed an issue when using protein powder or glucci. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help!

Will it say specifically on the bottle “blackstrap molasses”? Because I’ve only been able to find molasses…

What kind of butter extract and molasses do you use?

I have Wilton butter extract (you can find this at Walmart, Etc or at hobby lobby). I buy blackstrap molasses at a local Amish store.

This is dessert in a glass! I used Lily’s dark chocolate for even less sugar. Just chopped it up and tossed it in the blender with the rest of the ingredients. I just have to learn to drink it slow!

Wow…this shake is amazing! If I used an ounce of skinny chocolate is the shake now an s? I know skinny chocolate is an s, but since it was just an ounce I did not know. Thank for you help and great work coming up with this shake.

I’m not the one to ask about the “tiny” amounts and how they affect it. haha! I think that the amount of coconut oil in the skinny chocolate would definitely put it in “S” territory.

An ounce of 85% dark chocolate has about 18 grams of fat, so this is definitely not an FP, but a yummy S.

I just wanted to note here that when you add an ounce of dark chocolate this is no longer an FP. An ounce of chocolate has 1w or more grams of Fat. To be an fp it needs to be tg of fat ot under. It would be best to change this to an S. Tha ks so very much!!

Love this shake! I omit or only use about 1/4 of the chocolate & add 1/4C oatmeal for an oatmeal cookie shake. DELICIOUS!!! (We can have 1/4C oatmeal in an FP setting.;-) Really helps my favourite cookie cravings!

For those trying to keep this FP/with an issue with the 1 oz of chocolate, I just use a scant 1/2 T of Lily’s Chocolate chips (less than 20 chips) and add them at the very end of blending – it keeps in FP territory! 🙌
